October 10th was Homecoming Day in Smethport. The occasion was celebrated with a parade down Main Street, featuring Smethport High School students — Class of 2008 — including Prom Queen candidates, the High School football team and cheerleaders.

Also in attendance were school staff and community leaders. The thunderous evening ended with the Smethport Hubbers defeating Sheffield by a score of 40 to 16.
