Colonial Radio Group Adds Eighth Station to Media Portfolio

Colonial Radio Group added its eight radio station to its media portfolio this month. Featuring news and talk, the “Voice of the Twin Tiers” (WVTT) officially went on the air June 1.

Regular programming on WVTT includes Twin Tiers’ Morning News from 6 am-9 am; Glenn Beck from 9 am-12 noon; the Dennis Miller Show from 12 noon-3 pm; Dave Ramsey from 3 pm-5 pm; The Cage from 5 pm-7 pm; and Michael Savage from 7 pm-10 pm.

Combined, NewsRadio 99.1 and 103.9 WVTT have the Twin Tiers’ largest radio newsroom, featuring reporting by Darryl Moody, Jen Austin, and Dale Forbis. WVTT is also affiliated with ABC News Radio and Fox News Channel for world and national news.

NewsRadio 99.1 and 103.9 WVTT can be heard on 99.1 FM in Cattaraugus County and 103.9 FM in McKean County. The audio is also heard on cable channel 5 on the Comcast system in Smethport and Kane. And WVTT is also available via HD Radio on WXMT HD-2 (106.3 HD-2) and WBYB HD-4 (96.7 HD-4).

Colonial Radio Group now owns and operates eight FM signals in the Twin Tiers of New York and Pennsylvania including The Mountain / 106.3 WXMT and Olean’s 98.7; 96.7 and 95.3 BIG BOB; and 93.9 FM — Olean’s Fox Sports Radio.

A family-owned company, Colonial Radio Group was founded in 1995 by Smethport resident Jeff Andrulonis. “I think eight is enough,” he said of his company’s most recent addition.
