The Smethport Lions Club held its semi-monthly meeting and dinner at the Corner Bistro and Pizza Company on Monday. The featured guests at the event were Janet Mitchell, Lions Club District Governor, and her husband Bob Mitchell, Past District Governor.

As part of her annual visit to the Smethport Lions Club, Governor Mitchell spoke to the membership about a variety of current Lions Club topics on local, regional, state, national, and international levels. During Governor Mitchell’s presentation, she awarded Lions Club milestone service awards to Smethport Lions members Chuck McKeirnan, for 45 years service to the Lions Club, and Jack Pierotti for 10 years service to the Lions Club.

The Smethport Lions Club meets twice monthly on the second and fourth Monday of the month, at 6 pm at the Corner Bistro and PIzza Company rear dining room. The Smethport Lions Club welcomes new members of both genders.
