Senior Center
The Senior Center is in the former Munn Building at 119 W. Main Street. The building was constructed in 1921 by L.E. Munn, who ran it as a confectionery, ice cream store and restaurant. In the 1930s, the building was home to Halpenny’s Bar, Grill and Restaurant. The building is now owned by the Elderberry Club and is home to the Senior Center and Visitor Center.
Entirely run by volunteers, the Senior Center hosts many activities on a daily basis and serves breakfasts and lunches. You can stop by the Senior Center to pickup a monthly calendar and menu.
For your convenience, the Senior Center has a WiFi hot spot so you can look up infomation on the Web and check email. There’s a television so you can catch up on the news, and the opportunity to use the Wii video game console.
