Smethport Gets an AI Assisted Veterans Mural

Kane Republican – by Angela Cornelius

The America 250 Celebrations inspired Perry Burdick, owner of Mckean County E-sales at 311 West Main Street. He wanted to contribute to the upcoming Smethport parade and the patriotic decoration contest. The side of his building needed painting. He initially thought about purchasing a very large flag and displaying it on the building. But his six creative children influenced him to draw up a mural design instead.

Perry referenced the CHATGPT art poster they co-created with CHATGPT, which is displayed in his office. It combines an old barn and his family’s names on a post. CHATGPT allows anyone to make art from their imagination. They used CHATGPT to conceptualize the military images and flag for the mural, then he sketched them out and revised them with Artificial Intelligence. They reiterated until the current mural emerged.

The public is welcome to attend a formal military dedication on June 26th at 6:00 p.m. You can also see the mural during the Smethport America 250 parade at 1:00 p.m. on June 27th. Read More
