A historic ceremony was held in a courtroom nearly full with visitors as Michele Alfieri-Causer was sworn in Tuesday as the first woman judge in McKean County Court.
Judges John Pavlock and Christopher Hauser, District Judge William Todd and Commonwealth Court Judge Stacey Wallace attended to witness the event in the McKean County Courthouse.
Pavlock opened the ceremony with comments on the legacy of Alfieri-Causer’s long career in McKean County, including being the first woman attorney to work in the district attorney’s office and the first woman elected as district attorney. Read More
