Fair Queens Past and Present to Gather for New Tradition

Jaidyn Goodman knows that the memories she has made this past year will last a lifetime. Goodman is the reigning 2023 Miss McKean County. As she gets ready to hand off her title, she is hoping to start a new tradition.

Goodman has asked that past Miss McKean County winners gather at this year’s Queen Coronation for a special ceremony of Passing Down the Crown. The coronation will be held at 6 p.m. Friday on the mini-stage.

The 2024 Miss McKean County fair queen candidates take a moment away from their royal duties to pose during fair week. The new 2024 Miss McKean County will be crowned at the coronation set for 6 p.m. Friday on the mini-stage.

“This ceremony replicates one that takes place at our state competition,” said Goodman.

“When I saw them do the Passing Down of the Crown there, I thought it would be a great thing to bring back to my own county.” Read More
