On Saturday, January 16th, members of the Seneca Highlands Snowmobile Club and the Potato Creek Trail Association constructed a bridge across Barney Brook west of Smethport.
The bridge completes the trail to the Allegheny National Forest as well as connecting the trail to Clermont, creating a big loop.
Participants included Corky Hull Hull, Dan Dart, John Dart. The excavator was loaned by Jim Larson. Materials were purchased by the snowmobile association.

Smethport is adjacent to 2 million acres of public land that is home to the largest elk herd in the eastern U.S., pockets of white-tailed deer, 15,000 black bear, as well as an abundance of turkeys, pheasants, grouse, waterfowl and other small game. Come and enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ATVing, horseback riding, hunting, fishing and more.
