Bass-o-matic, Kinzua Style
May 28, 2009
Exhausted Frederick Robson (center) of Smethport took his brother Frank Robson (right) and nephew Frank Jr. both of Danville, New York on a wild Kinzua Reservoir fishing expedition last Saturday.
Fred, an experienced Kinzua angler, guided the group to incredible pockets of white bass, walleye, and pike. Although they were quite selective, the trio kept 64 of the white bass with Fred catching a remarkable stringer of 30.

Smethport is adjacent to 2 million acres of public land that is home to the largest elk herd in the eastern U.S., pockets of white-tailed deer, 15,000 black bear, as well as an abundance of turkeys, pheasants, grouse, waterfowl and other small game. Come and enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ATVing, horseback riding, hunting, fishing and more.
