Like most authors, Patricia Costa Viglucci, formerly of Smethport and one-time editor at The Era, welcomes the opportunity to share her love for writing, especially with school students.

Viglucci returned to Smethport on Friday for two days, and later in the afternoon spoke to the approximately 85 students of the combined sixth grade classes at the elementary school.

Jovanna Porter, a sixth grade teacher, said the students recently have been reading the works of local authors Bill Robertson, Abigail Pierotti and Viglucci.

“Our students have read her book, ‘Sun Dance at Turtle Rock,’ a fictional story that has Smethport as its setting,” Porter said.  Read more >>
