OFFICIAL RESOLUTION
Borough of Smethport, Pennsylvania
2008: Flat Stanley - Official Citizen of Smethport

1. WHEREAS; FLAT STANLEY, a student from New Orleans, LA was severely injured in a bulletin board accident in his 3rd grade classroom at the Trinity Episcopal School in New Orleans, LA,
And
2. WHEREAS; FLAT STANLEY rose against adversity and recreated himself despite extreme hardships,
And
3. WHEREAS; FLAT STANLEY, like the City of New Orleans and creative boroughs on Route 6, McKean County, PA, has sought to use his situation and history to reinvent himself and use his experience to grow and prosper,
And
4. WHEREAS; FLAT STANLEY has travelled to Smethport to discover who he is in a journey of life,
Therefore, be it
5. RESOLVED, that the Borough of Smethport, Pennsylvania, declare FLAT STANLEY an OFFICIAL HONORARY CITIZEN OF THE BOROUGH OF SMETHPORT Pennsylvania.
